Mike is a seasoned insurance professional with 30 years of experience.  After earning his B.A. in Business from Saint Anselm College he joined Aetna Casualty & Surety as a commercial underwriter.  During his nine-year tenure with Aetna, he gained valuable insight into the carrier side of the business that he continues to leverage today for the benefit of his clients.  In 1996 Mike attained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Mike entered the brokerage side of the business in 2002 with Hilb, Rogal & Hamilton (now Willis Towers Watson) and over the last seventeen years has developed and refined his problem-solving expertise in the areas of insurance, risk management and risk transfer.  He prides himself on delivering a creative but pragmatic solution to the various risk management challenges his clients face.  Mike has a diverse client base including behavioral health, contracting, cultural institutions, manufacturing, professional services, public entity, real estate, technology and transportation.  Mike joined the team at Cleary Insurance in April of 2019.

When Mike isn’t working, he can be found with his wife and two teenage sons on the slopes and back country environs of Vermont or boating and fishing off Boston’s North Shore.
